Hank - Become the generator - use your energy to power lights with our Hand-crank interactive!

In addition to generators and staging, ZeroFossil offers a variety of interactives to educate and entertain your guests.

Our Hand Crank is perfect for young children to test their strength and be introduced to science and sustainability concepts, or for older children and adults to see firsthand the effects of sustainable home lighting practices.

The Hand Crank consists of the crank itself, a motor, and three lightbulbs of different varieties:
LED: One of the most sustainable lighting options currently available to use.
Fluorescent: The type of bulb that is currently the standard for home use.
Incandescent: The type of bulb that was previously the standard for home use.

The Hand Crank is operated simply by turning the handles forward. The crank powers the motor, which will send power to the three lights.
The LED, which requires little power, will illuminate with little force.
The Fluorescent light, which requires slightly more power than the LED, will illuminate with about the same level of force at a higher cranking speed.
The incandescent light, which requires significantly more power than both the fluorescent light and LED, will illuminate if great force and speed are applied to it. Operators will feel significant resistance when attempting to illuminate the incandescent light compared to the other lights.

Each connection can be toggled on and off via the switches on the base of the Hand Crank, so guests can try to illuminate each light individually or all three at once.

The Hand Crank requires no user assembly, and is itself a sustainable design— only human power is required.
